How Hill Trip

How Hill Trip

Anika:

I think How Hill is a great place to visit with your class or family. There are lots of activities and games that are fun and interesting. My favourite activity was the boat trip. We swam through the River Ant, lucky enough to see 3 Kingfishers. I am super exited to go to Lake District in year 6 and have lots of fun as well!

Milena:

My favourite activity at How Hill was the boat trip because my group saw six Kingfishers.  My favourite part of How Hill was that we stayed over two nights and three days. We went on the 17th of September and returned on the 19th of September. I’m really exited for year six because we are going to the Lake District!

How Hill by Seb.

Kingfisher

Kingfisher

In How Hill we did owl pellet dissection we used tweezers and we wore rubber gloves to protect us from getting infected by the germs.

In dyke dipping we caught. Silver belly water beetle , a dragonfly nymph and a lot of water flees! We also named the beetle Jeff.

We went on a boat trip on the broads. We saw three kingfishers  a marsh harrier and a pigeon!

The bedrooms were lovely the only downside about them was that the beds didn’t have very comfy due to a weird towel type thing on the sheets but I had a big sleeping bag                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 By Seb 5W

Our Trip to How Hill

Our trip to How Hill.

Last week we went on a trip to How Hill. The activities we did were weaving, a boat trip, dissecting owl pellets, making clay animals, a nature walk, dyke dipping, looking in the museum and drawing the outside of the museum and thatching. The activity we enjoyed the most was weaving. After a few activities we would play and run in a big garden, in the garden there was a secret garden and a maze.

On the 1st day we did dyke dipping, weaving and a nature walk. On the 2nd we dissected owl pellets, making clay animals, going on a boat trip and a nature walk again. On the 3rd/last day we went on a wherry, we drew the outside of the museum and went inside it, thatching and our last activity was hawks and blackbirds! We had a lot of fun here at How Hill!
