All of the birds are pretty cool, they all eat fish, the smallest bird out of all of the birds was the Kingfisher, it is small but it is so fast. The swan it not the biggest but it is not the smallest did you know that swans are the Queens favourite animals .The heron was huge it was the size of 1.2 – 1.5 m.Image result for kingfisherImage result for heron

How Hill Year 5 C.S. and W. M.

How Hill

We all really enjoyed How Hill.  It is a great residential trip and there were

Fun activities, such as Dyke Dipping, Owl Pellet Dissecting, Weaving, Thatching, Boat Trips and

there was a very fun game called the Hawks and Crows game.

Rooms

We enjoyed spending time in our room, talking with our roommates and the beds were very comfy.

With all these nice mattresses, and cushions, the rooms were like heaven!!

Free time

In our free time, some of us played Manhunt outside, some of us stayed inside and weaved.

In the afternoon, we played this game, “The cushion of love” .

Garden

This was the garden we played in.

How Hill was the best!!!

Our trip to How Hill! B and I

How Hill.

We have recently been on a trip to How Hill which is in the Norfolk Broads. We have enjoyed a series of activities such as weaving, a boat trip, owl pellet dissection and exploring an authentic Wherry. We had a wonderful time running through the massive garden, playing in the maze and discovering just how interesting the outdoors can be. We thought How Hill was a great experience and would love to visit again!

The House

We really loved our stay and one of the highlights was the house. Some of the facts that we learnt about the house are, it was created in 1904, only the rich could afford a house as incredible as it and it has a thatched roof made with reed and sedge. Another thing we absolutely loved was the dormitories. They held up to eight people with pillows and blankets provided. The beds were extremely comfortable and brilliant to play on!

The Wildlife

How Hill is a place flooded with wildlife. On a camera we watched the footage from the past night and were surprised by seeing a muntjac, a little deer! And loads of squirrels. On the boat trip we saw a majestic kingfisher, a stunning heron and a beautiful cormorant. We really loved our trip and we hope you do to, thanks for reading!
