When we first got to Ullswater we knew this would be the best week of our lives! First we got introduced to our instructors, after that we then got shown to our dormitories. My (George’s) dorm was F7 which was with; M, M, G, C, and N. My (Fillip’s) dorm was F8 with: L, L, D, P and T. Then we got to choose our lunch, breakfast and dinner for the whole week.
FIRST FAVOURITE ACTIVITY:
1. Jog-n-dip
Jog-n-dip was the best because we got to slowly walk into the freezing cold water and some of us submerged fully! Then, we got onto the jetty and then most of us jumped in. It was 2 metres deep!
SECOND FAVOURITE ACTIVITY:
2. TUNNELING
When we went tunnelling it was pitch black which made it even funnier. We also had to put on these boiler suits so we didn`t get dirty [it made us look like Mario!] We got to go in groups so we wouldn`t get lost, our group was : Filip, George, L and P. We found it to easy so we did it without our head torches, which was funny since we kept bashing our heads.
THIRD FAVOURITE ACTIVITY:
3. GORGE-WALKING
On the third day we went gorge-walking. When we got there we sat down and waited for another group to get ahead so we didn`t bump into them up the gorge. While we waited we had a snack to restore our energy. Once we got started it was sooo fun. We also learnt to do a Roman handshake to help people to get up. Once we were nearly got to the top there was a giant waterfall that we had to climb [it was a quite a challenge].
So that was our trip to Ullswater.
